Level 1, Duration 5 rounds per caster level, Range
30'.
Creates a yellow-brown fog in an area of 30'
diameter that smells strongly of vomit and acid. Any enemies of the
spellcaster who breathe the fumes will have to save vs. poison or
suffer a -2 penalty to all actions for the duration of the effect due
to convulsions and retching. Visibility is severely hampered as in
any fog (-2 to all attacks, range attacks are impossible).
Sounds like a level 1 spell version of Ad&d stinking cloud combined with the level 1 spell wall of fog.
SvaraRaderaStinking cloud incapacitates people for 1d4+1 rounds instead of -2 to actions and wall of fog limits all vision 2 feet away from you (including infravision) instead of -2 to all attacks.
Just as a comparison.
Cool! It seems like I hit a decent balance with a little penalty and a little limited vision, then :)
RaderaThere's bound to be loads of spells that are very similar to each other. Imagine magic-users comparing notes...
"I have this scroll with 'animate plant' that let's me control any plant or weed up to 6 feet high", "Really? I have 'animate oak' that let's me control any oak tree."
